Humble Beginnings
Like many American-Made businesses, United Glass and Panel Systems (UGPS) started out with only a handful of employees and a whole lot of ambition. Founded by Tom Nesbitt in 1996, United Glass and Panel Systems set off to become a leading glazier contractor among the Glass and Glazing Industry. Acquiring a team of engineering professionals, fabricators, and union tradesmen, we made a name for ourselves. UGPS quickly distinguished ourselves as the team of experts for design, fabrication, and installation of the most complex glass and panel systems.
Establishing Ourselves
UGPS has earned a reputation for integrity, excellent customer service, and effective project management. Presently, United Glass and Panel Systems is a technical leader in Glass and Glazing. We have completed major construction and renovation projects throughout Northeast Ohio. Additionally, our reach extends across seven states per special request.
Core Competencies | Glass and Glazing
United Glass is known for providing our clients with sophisticated CAD engineering and design services, complete project management, and on-site coordination and installation. UGPS is proud to be one of the few who are signatory among three union trades. The combined skills of our experienced carpenters, glaziers, and iron workers allow UGPS to install essentially any component one can envision.
Additionally, UGPS sets ourselves apart from the competition with in-house custom fabrication of framing, glass, and panel systems. Not only does this allow us greater control over project delivery, but it also enables flexibility for our clients. Design specs can be modified with short lead-times, a task less manageable by third-party fabricators.
Bigger Than a Business
At United Glass, we understand that the unique facades we install on beautiful buildings are only as good as the foundation holding it up. We also believe that a business is only as good as the people who make it. At United Glass, we pride ourselves on character and aim to be a good neighbor. We fill this role by sitting in on the boards of many non-profits, lending a hand where we can. Additionally, we encourage volunteerism and community involvement among our colleagues. Past events we’ve participated in include adopted families for the holidays, building bicycles for children, sponsoring food banks, and contributing to charities.
